Excellent Location. Accommodating Staff. Large Conference Rooms.

I’ve had my share of #epicfail conference meeting room in my short tenure on this planet, but I’m happy to say that I finally met my next business related meeting place for my next event. Her name: DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta – Marietta.

Appropriately named for its location on the border of Atlanta and Marietta, the hotel is less than 1 mile off of Windy Hills exit on I-75. (Bonus points for my favorite Chick-fil-A location beside it.)

My company held a week-long meeting at this hotel and the staff has been nothing short of accommodating. They have helped us transport items from our car, store items in a locked storage room, and have helped troubleshoot our wi-fi related issues. The rooms are large enough to accommodate our 150+ guests and the lines that have formed as a result of our meetings.

While I have been very impressed with the hotel lobby – bar, restaurant, and clean, fresh-smelling bathrooms – I have to take a way 1 star for the troubled wi-fi connection. Cell phones do not connect very well in the lobby, especially phones on the T-Mobile and AT&T networks. Hotel provides wi-fi, but even that connection is spotty.

The verdict: plan your next event at DoubleTree Atlanta – Marietta, but bring your own hotspot… your own Verizon hotspot.
