It is human nature to boast about things we’re proud of. But wives have to remember humility is key. We were once like our single friends struggling with relationships. As great as our lives are now, things may not always be this way. Things can change drastically and we’ll need our dear friends’ support. I don’t want to piss them off to the point where they roll their eyes and hit the ignore button whenever I call. My plan is to remain humble. Hopefully, my marital status does not interfere with my friendships. I hope I continue to be a good friend. And I hope my friends think so too.

They’re Having Our Baby!
The three discussed their plans for our family for the next 45 minutes. Since they were the experts on the topic, I did not interrupt. I smiled, nodded, and laughed when appropriate. They don't know our little secret.
On My Playlist: How To Fix A Broken Record Podcast
To break the monotony of a day at the office, I often listen to Podcasts. I like podcasts that offer insight on a variety of topics, while still entertaining me in some way. A Black Woman’s Conversation with a White Man About Race
This is where people get confused. Using race to describe a person is not offensive. Making an assumption about a person based on their skin color is offensive. I admire his audacity to pose an important question, at the risk of upsetting me.
Why I Was Away For So Long
As I get older, it is becoming more clear to me, that I am not superwoman. I've always prided myself on my ability to juggle multiple activities at once and still keep my ducks lined in a row. What I never realized is that when you're a jack (or jill) of many trades, it's hard to do one thing well. I am not an exception.
Not Another One
The experience of going to the movie theaters will never be the same for me. Listening to a sermon at church will never be the same for me. Picking up toiletries at Walmart will never be the same for me. Attending a concert of my favorite musician will never be the same for me. I encourage you to play your role to reduce gun violence in this country, in whatever way you see fit.

I'm thankful for the hard times because I'm happy with the woman that it has made me. I'm also grateful for what the tough times forced me to do. Live within my … Continue reading My Life Changed Once I Started Doing These Things
